Welcome APMP Nor'easters and Happy 2020!

As we kick off the 2020s, I am excited to lead the APMP Nor’easters Chapter into the new decade. As Mike Walsh steps into his new role as Chair of the APMP International Board of Directors, I want to thank him for his five years of leading our chapter. Check out the APMP article where Mike discusses his APMP 2020 vision.

My New Year's resolution is to continue to offer our members opportunities to share ideas and grow professionally. I plan to achieve this resolution by hosting webinars on a wide range of topics, holding a joint event with the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) of Northern New England, and planning in-person get-togethers this year outside of our annual Expo. I will share more details soon.

We have uploaded the presentations from the 2019 Expo to our website here. The board will begin planning the 2020 Expo next month. Look for details in your inbox.

This year we’d like to highlight a member in each newsletters so we each get to know our fellow Nor’easters. Since, I am new to this role, I figured I would go first.

Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What did you want to be when you grow up?
Growing up, Sally Ride was my hero and I hoped to follow in her footsteps into space.

3 Things that I can teach you?
1. How to manage up.
2. How to use bear spray.
3. How to navigate with a map and a compass.

What podcast do you regularly listen to?
I start every Saturday with a cup of coffee and ‘Only a Game’ by WBUR in Boston.

What’s your biggest work accomplishment?
My biggest work accomplishment was when I received the email saying that a colleague had nominated me for the APMP 40 under 40. It made me realized that people at my job saw and appreciated all the hard work that I put towards the APMP and my job every day.

If you attended Wednesday’s webinar with Richard Goring, you can find a copy of his hand out on our website, along with a link to the recording.

Our next webinar will be held on March 4th at 1:00 PM EST. Benjamin Smith, Editorial/Quality Assurance Manager at BerryDunn, will be presenting the Hemingway Way of Business Writing. Use this link to register.

I look forward to working with you this year. Feel free to drop me a line.
