President's Report

They say April showers bring May flowers but what to Mayflowers bring? Pilgrims

How is that for a little Nor'easters humor for you...or maybe I am just up too late.  Never the less I want to encourage you to get out and join your fellow Nor'easters at our upcoming  3rd annual Executive Insights panel discussion. We are teaming up with SMPS Boston and LMA to bring this successful series back for the third year in a row.  We will meet at the amazing offices of Nutter, McClaren & Fish overlooking Boston Harbor in the city's Seaport District. Our panelist will discuss how clients have a more empowered buyer experience than ever before and as a result the importance of strategic engagement. Check out our upcoming events page for details and to register.  This event has been very well attended for the past two years and we look forward to seeing you there again this year.

Now is also a great time to put the finishing touches on your abstract to speak at Pursuit Expo 2017. Take that next step in your proposal career and share your knowledge with your fellow proposal professionals, open a dialogue with peers, or discuss what disruption means to the proposal industry. This is a great opportunity to boost your personal brand and get more involved with the Chapter and with APMP. Details on how to submit an abstract can be found here, but hurry time is running out. The deadline to submit an abstract is April 30th so don't delay.

Those who have been to a Nor'easters Expo before will recognize the mutliple offerings, extended breaks for networking and visiting sponsors, and our closing reception complete with amazing prizes that rounds out the day. Those who are thinking of coming for the first time will find what Robin Davis refers to as "their people" a gathering of people who get what you do and get why you do it!

This year, the day before Pursuit Expo 2017 we are offering both Foundation Level Certification and the Practitoner Level quick start workshop. If you have been thinking about getting or advancing your certification...November 8th is a great day to do it. Additional details and information on how to register will be coming to you soon.

We are less than 2 months away from Bid & Proposal Con 2017 in New Orleans.  I am trying to see how many Nor'easters will be heading to the Crescent City, please drop me a note at mike.walsh@ey.com let me know if you are heading down...I would love to get us together while we are there.

Be outstanding,
